About the art showcase
What is the inaugural BOSS Art Showcase?
BOSS would usually hold the Sydney Decompression event during November, however we are unable to do so this year due to COVID-19.
Even so, we would still like to support our community and invest funds raised from the last Sydney Decompression event towards fostering the creation of original art.
We had intended to introduce a new art grant to the grants program this year, where we would invite BOSS members to create an art piece for inclusion in an art exhibition to be held during the day on the Saturday of the Sydney Decompression weekend event.
Therefore we are going to proceed with a socially distanced version of this portion of the program, along with giving our members a creative outlet during the time when we would usually be attending Burning Seed.
FAQs - General
When will the Art Showcase be held?
The date, time and venue details are still to be confirmed, however we are considering dates in late November or early December.
How will attendance at the Art Showcase work?
In accordance with current social distancing restrictions, our plan is to ticket the event by offering a limited number of entry tickets on an hourly basis, and we would capture names and contact details of each attendee when they purchase tickets.

Who can participate in the Art Showcase?
Any and all BOSS members, and/or their dependants. Art Showcase applications will be accepted from first time creators through to professional artists.
You don't need to be an art grant recipient to participate, however a one-off ISO (ART) GRANT is being offered to encourage participation in the Art Showcase.
The only requirement for participation is that all art pieces displayed at the Art Showcase must have been created after March 2020 (when we entered this period of isolation and social distancing practices).
